Why a SIRS is required here. Asia is a residential condominium of 36 stories. Florida requires every such building to have a structural integrity reserve study at least every 10 years, prepared or verified by a licensed engineer, architect or certified reserve specialist. Associations had until December 31, 2025 to complete the first one and must tell the state within 45 days of receiving it (Fla. Stat. 718.112(2)(g)).

Residents are positive overall about Asia, describing it as well maintained with a luxury feel and a good location. The main practical complaint is the building-wide shared WiFi, which can struggle for people working from home, with no option for a dedicated line. In 2025 the Brickell Key master association, which Asia pays into along with the island's other buildings, approved a $32 million assessment to replace the island's seawall and redo the baywalk.
