Real estate transactions are increasingly targeted by cybercriminals attempting to commit wire fraud. Allioo LLC and Anthony Johnson are committed to raising awareness of these risks to help protect sellers, landlords, buyers, and tenants from fraudulent activities.

Important Notice on Wire Transfers

Beware of emails, phone calls, or text messages requesting that you wire funds for real estate transactions. Cybercriminals may impersonate real estate agents, title companies, attorneys, or other trusted professionals to trick individuals into transferring funds to fraudulent accounts.

Key Recommendations to Protect Yourself:

1. Verify Transfer Instructions

Before wiring any funds, always verify the instructions with a trusted contact. Do not use phone numbers or links provided in an email, as they may lead to the fraudster. Instead, call a verified number from a reliable source, such as your real estate professional’s official website or business card.

2. Be Cautious of Urgent or Last-Minute Changes

Criminals often create a sense of urgency to pressure you into acting quickly. Be suspicious of any last-minute changes to wiring instructions or payment details. Verify with your trusted contact before proceeding.

3. Confirm Wire Transfer After Sending

After initiating a wire transfer, confirm with the recipient that they have received the funds. If there is any discrepancy, contact your bank immediately.

4. Do Not Share Personal Information via Email

Avoid sending sensitive information, such as banking details or personal identifiers, via email. Cybercriminals can intercept unsecured communications and use this information to commit fraud.

Important Reminder

Allioo LLC and Anthony Johnson will never request or provide wire instructions directly through Allioo.com or via email. If you receive any wire instructions purportedly from us, treat them as suspicious and verify their authenticity through a trusted professional.

Wire fraud can result in significant financial losses. Exercise caution at all stages of a transaction and consult with your real estate professional, attorney, or financial institution for additional guidance on safe wire transfer practices.
